As the lead singer and primary songwriter ofApril Wine, Myles has written and recorded some of the most beloved rock songs,including Roller, Sign of the Gypsy Queen and Just Between You and Me. Goodwynreceived the prestigious East Coast Music Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008and the SOCAN National Achievement Award in 2002. In 2016 he released hismemoir named, Just Between You and Me, which became an instant best seller onthe Globe and Mail`s Non-Fiction List. His second book, Elvis and Tiger(fiction) was published in 2018 and was also very well received. Goodwynrecorded two blues albums in 2018 and in 2019, garnished a JUNO nomination forBlues Album of the Year (2019) and won two ECMA Awards for Blues Album of theYear, back-to-back in 2018 and 2019. He gives back to his community bysupporting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Canada since 2003 andas co-founder of Soleful Caring . . . Shoes for the Homeless, collecting anddistributing “gently used” footwear for men and women, coast-to-coast inCanada. In 2022, Goodwyn released “For Ukraine,” which was written in supportof the citizens of war-torn Ukraine. The song won him the SIFA award for BestSocial Impact Music/Art 2022. Myles was also recently inducted into the to theCanadian Songwriters Hall of Fame.
