A proud native of Woodstock, New Brunswick, Frank Cluff has devoted his life to advancing basketball and education in his home province. Graduating from the University of New Brunswick in 1965, Frank began teaching and coaching at Centreville Regional High School, where his leadership led teams to five provincial championships and nine top three finishes over 12 years.
His distinguished career continued at Carleton North High School as teacher and Vice Principal, nurturing countless young minds through to his retirement. In 1967, Frank made NBIAA history by coaching both the Ladies’ and Men’s High School Provincial teams-the only time this has ever occurred. He further strengthened the local basketball community by re-establishing Carleton County Intermediate Basketball in 1968 as the first coach of the Woodstock Bottlers.
Frank’s impact extended beyond coaching-he was a dedicated basketball official from 1966 to 2008, serving as Vice President and President of the New Brunswick Association of Approved Basketball Officials, and making lasting contributions as an officer with the New Brunswick Amateur Basketball Association.
For his unwavering commitment, Frank has been honored as BNB Official of the Year (1992), with the CABO Wink Willox Award (2003), and an Honorary Life Membership by NBAABO (2017).
