The District of Carleton North offers the Community Beautification Policy to support active volunteer organizations and community centres working on beautification projects within the District of Carleton North. These initiatives help enhance appeal of our communities, boosting local pride and quality of life for both residents and visitors.

Eligible Requirements

Non-Profit community groups who wish to carry out beautification projects at their community centres or in greenspace/parks including:

• Landscaping, including flowers, shrubs, trees, flower beds
• Exterior painting
• Any other project that will have a significant impact on the appearance of the community

Projects must be completed in the current application year

Application Deadline February 13, 2026

Application Process

Application: Eligible organizations must submit their complete applications by the submission deadline to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).

Review Process: The CAO will advise the status of the application within four (4) weeks of receipt of the completed application.

Once the project is completed organizations are required to share a post to social media or Town staff to allow for the project to be shared with Council, while acknowledging the Town’s contributions at the same time.

Only completed and accurate applications will be considered

All applicants are expected to review the full policy before applying
