Recycling & Waste Management

All Waste Management Services in the District of Carleton North including Waste Pick-up, Recycling, Hazardous Waste, Etc. is provided by the Western Valley Regional Service Commission (WVRSC).

Community Recycle Bins were removed beginning January 1, 2025.

Business recycling can be organized with your current waste management contractor.

Copies of this schedule are available at Town Offices.

A second calendar will be released prior to August 2026.

Recycle pick up occurs on the same day of the week as your normal garbage pickup.

Garbage WILL NOT be picked up on recycling week

Reminder for garbage to be picked up:

  • Box, bagged or bundled
  • Placed within 2 meters of the roadway
  • Large items must be held until large/special pick up dates

District of Carleton North’s first Special Garbage Collection Days in 2026 are June 2, 4, 5 & 6.

Please put our your large/special items on your regular pick up day of this week.

The Western Regional Service Commission Waste collection days for District of Carleton North for 2025 is September 28th, 8:00AM to 10:30AM at the Town Office.
