Meet the Council of the District of Carleton North
District of Carleton North Town Council is composed of 8 elected members, including one Mayor, five Councillors representing the 5 wards, and two Councillors elected at-large.
In accordance with the Local Governance Act and the Town’s Procedural By-Law No. A-1 A Deputy Mayor is elected by Council from among the Councillors, for a term of four years.

Mandate: Propose a functioning and sustainable policing model to the Public Safety Committee for the District of Carleton North

Age-Friendly Community Advisory Committee (Ad Hoc)
The Age-Friendly Community Advisory Committee is dedicated developing and promoting policies, services and structures that support active healthy, active aging and wellness for all ages.

Sports Wall of Recognition Committee
Mandate: To create a Carleton North Sports & Recreation Wall to recognize outstanding achievement and contributions to sports & recreation in the Carleton North area.

Ad Hoc Trail Committee
Mandate: To develop a Carleton North Trails Policy and make a recommendation to Council on various shared uses of the trail system, while respecting all users of the trails
