Walk A Mile In Her Shoes – For Sanctuary House
Walk A Mile In Her Shoes is a community walk dedicated to increasing awareness of gender-based violence in support of Sanctuary House, a shelter for abused women and their children.
There will be an information table set up at Buttermilk Creek Fair if anyone is interested in finding out more about Walk A Mile.
This year there will be 5 walks occurring at noon in 5 communities: Plaster Rock, Perth-Andover, Florenceville-Bristol, Hartland and Woodstock. The goal is to raise $50,000 to support Sanctuary House.
Men of all ages are invited to walk on behalf of friends and family who are victims or survivors of gender-based violence. Women and children are also welcome to participate. Shoes will be available at registration.
Why Participate?
Every step helps raise awareness and funds to support Sanctuary House in providing safety and resources for women and children experiencing abuse. All proceeds go directly to Sanctuary House.
