Full-Time Beautification Operator (Seasonal)

The District of Carleton North is currently seeking a Seasonal Beautification Operator to help maintain and enhance the appearance of our communities throughout the summer season.

This hands-on position plays an important role in keeping our parks, green spaces, and municipal properties looking vibrant, welcoming, and well cared for.

Working under the supervision of the Beautification Operator Lead, the successful candidate will assist with a variety of landscaping and maintenance tasks across the District.

Main Duties:

• Maintain flower beds, planters, and green spaces (planting, watering, weeding, pruning)
• Perform lawn care duties such as mowing, trimming, seeding, and sodding
• Operate landscaping equipment
• Assist with seasonal clean-up, including removal of debris and winter damage
• Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored
• Assist with set-up and take-down for municipal events and activities

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in landscaping, gardening, or grounds maintenance (1-3 years preferred)
• Valid Class 5 New Brunswick driver’s license
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• A strong work ethic and pride in maintaining public spaces
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
