Public Notice: Proposed Zoning By-Law and Municipal Plan
Take notice that the Council of the District of Carleton North is considering the adoption of the following by-laws:
- Zoning By-Law โ A by-law to regulate land use, development standards, and zoning within the District of Carleton North.
- Municipal Plan โ A by-law to adopt a Municipal Plan providing long-term planning policies and direction for growth, development, and land use within the District of Carleton North.
The proposed by-laws may be examined by the public:
- In person at the Office of the Clerk, District of Carleton North, during regular office hours; and
- Online on the District of Carleton North website at:

Council will consider first reading by summary of the proposed Zoning By-Law and Municipal Plan at a regular meeting of Council to be held on:

This notice is given in accordance with sections 15(3) and 70 of the Local Governance Act and is posted on the Districtโs website for the required notice period. At least 14 days will have elapsed between the first posting of this notice and the date of third reading. Any member of Council may object to the reading of a summary.
At the Regular Council Meeting on Tuesday December 9, 2025, Conor Tripp, Planning Director at the Western New Brunswick Service Commission presented the Zoning By-Law and Municipal Plan to Council and the Public.
This Zoning By-Law outlines the District of Carleton Norths development regulations to implement the policies of the Town’s Municipal Plan within the realms of land use, subdivisions of land, and development.
